Development directions

The following enhancements to the Palantir system have been considered for future release:

• Support for certain pan/tilt hardware such as TrackerPOD and Canon VCC3
• Native Linux client with audio support
• Host- and password-based authentication
• Stream encryption
• Improved logging
• Motion detection
• Movie recording
• Event-triggered recording (sensors, motion detection...)
• Presettable camera positions
• Nonlinear device readings transformations
• Graphical presentation of device readings in HTML
• XML device readings output

Some of the above items will only be developed under contract.

The Palantir architecture is highly customizable. If the current version does not appear to fit your particular needs, don't hesitate to contact us and ask for additional features.
